Today going through some old pictures, I came across maybe my favourite one.
I don't remember how old I was here, however let me set the scene.. October half term we would always start making the christmas cake so my Grandmother was able to freeze it to take out christmas eve. I remember pouring in all the ingredients and as I stirred the spoon making a wish that I hoped one day would come true, every year I remember wishing for the same thing. Including last year; I know it seems stupid to make such cliche wishes however it always stuck somehow.
Evidently I don't believe that stirring a christmas cake will make all your dreams come true (Although how cool would that be!) so I am going to tell you what it is, otherwise this would be a pretty pointless blog post. Every year I wished to do something I loved, to write, to sing, to dance. Just something I enjoyed; I was quite a happy child from what I remembered. And to this day it makes me smile that I used all those wishes on something I would still actively want (i.e I didn't wish for a pony... even though that came up on christmas lists a few times.. DAMMIT SANTA I'M STILL WAITING).
To sum this all up, I really wanted to share this because this picture reminds me of all the wishes and moments I spent wanting to grow up to be and do something I love. I feel like I have given myself this with this blog. Who knows, maybe I was supposed to write... Maybe I was born with it ;)
Stay awesome my sweet dumplings
Go out and change the world!

You should start writing books on a page called wattpad.com, heaps of people have started there and publishers have seen their book and before they knew it, their book had been thoroughly edited and published ^^
ReplyDeleteI actually already have a wattpad :')
