Hello my loves.
For me transitioning outfits is a difficult thing, from Summer to Winter because I get very attatched to my clothing. I'm also one of those that hate to wear jeans, I just find them so uncomfortable. I wear leggins a lot because they are more comfortable, however I am a 'dress and skirt' kind of person. Therefore when winter comes around I find it difficult to transition to trousers. The reason this sounds like a big deal is because I am constantly getting ladders in my tights, which makes it difficult to wear skirts without worrying, however I have found that Primark does 'thermal' tights which do not rip at all. If you happen to purchase these I would suggest going a size up. As I find my normal tights size do not fit.
Here are four outfits I have made work with a bodycon skirt (£5 from Primark)
1. This was originally supposed to be a different top, however I came across this peplum top and thought that this would go well with a tight skirt, since it was a contrast. I like the peplum trend because it skims over larger stomachs which gives the illusion of it not being there. I love the print and colour as it is a slightly off cream colour with pink flowers. Although cream is not a colour I would consider wearing due to having a 'grubby' skin colour, I do like the contrast the cream has with the rest of the outfit which is just black.
2. This is the casual look of the three as it really is just a plain t-shirt from Primark, however I love these two together because the top is a very autumnal colour, it also shows how you can tone down a skirt to make it more 'everyday wear'. The top is also slightly see through so wearing a pretty bra underneath just adds that little bit extra.
3. This outfit was originally just a cover up that I threw on when I was cold however I like this because it looks more 'effortlessly put together', It's also very baggy on me and slightly bat winged, which makes it similar to the second style as in its just that bit more casual and comfortable.
4. This has to be my favourite out of all of them because it's more 'winter-esque' than the rest of them. I find it difficult to wear chunky knits because I get hot very easily, however with the cropped sleeve on this it makes it a lot more wearable. I love the shade of purple as well because it's a darker colour which is perfect for this time of the year. I wasn't sure if this would work, pairing it with a skirt because they are two very different styles, however I really like how they have worked together.
please do excuse my i.d tag on the fourth picture as I had taken this right before I was on my way to college. The black badge you can see on it actually says 'Fighting Animal Testing' with two rabbits on. This is from Lush who do not test on animals, which is one of the very many reasons I love them.
