I love drugstore makeup tag.

So today i wanted to do something a little different and so after thinking about what i could talk about, i decided upon the I love drugstore makeup tag. The tag consists of eight different questions all asking my opinion on products sold in store. Personally i think this is a really clever way to give your opinion and show a bit of personality.

Question 1: What is your favourite drugstore makeup brand overall?

Without a doubt definetly MakeUpAcademy (also known as MUA), i have never found a fault in this brand and completely fell in love with their products straight away. As a student i don't have a lot of money and although i do spend all my pocket money on makeup, only so much goes so far. MUA has two different ranges, their original where everything just costs £1 ! And then their professional range where the price goes up to a maximum of £8. Not only are the prices convinient but i cannot fault the products themselves, if they cost £20 pound for a palette instead of £4 i would still consider buying them. Everything in the range is extremely pigmented and well made.


Question 2: What are your favourite face, cheek & lip products?

My favourite face product would have to be MUA's matte perfection loose powder, i wear it every day over my liquid foundation and it gives a beautiful finishing touch. My favourite cheek product has to be my Sleek blusher in Rose gold, again this is extremely pigmented and is a beautiful light pink colour with specs of gold. This is the only Sleek product i own however i have bought palettes from there for others and there has never been a complaint ! Finally my favourite lip product has to be all the Babylips chapsticks by Maybelline. Although slightly pricey for a drugstore chapstick i have all six of them, my favourite being the Blue hydrate one as it really repairs my lips and leaves them feeling gorgeous. I cant work out what the scent is but after much deliberation with friends and family i realised it reminds me of Lucozades Melonade drink :).


Question 3: What is your least favourite product?

This is a hard one as i have never really had a 'bad' makeup product, simply ones that don't suit me so i give them away. However i do have a Collection matte perfect foundation that was totally wrong for my skin type and colour, it was an impulse buy and definetly will not be purchasing it again.


Question 4: What is the best makeup bargain?

I would say definetly MUA's eyeshadow palette in Undressed which is well known as a dupe for Urban Decays naked palette. However MUA's one will only set you back £4 :).


Question 5: What is your favourite underdog product ? (something you love that often gets overlooked) 

Without a shadow of a doubt definetly 17's vavavoom Mascara, there should be a bigger hype about this product as i am absolutely in love with the volume and height it gives my lashes.


Question 6: What is a drugstore product that is overpriced ?

Unfortunately im going to have to say anything from max factor, especially their mascaras. I just don't get the massive hype about them, having only tried them out once i will be testing one for longer but im not too excited about spending £12 on a mascara that isn't high end.


Question 7: What are your best drugstore dupes ?

Like i mentioned earlier MUA's undressed palette is a perfect dupe for Urban Decays naked original palette. Also 17's lipgloss in a dark Reddish purple shade (sorry doesnt give name) is a close dupe to Mac's dark side lipstick.


Question 8:  What is a drugstore product that isn't worth the hype ?

Bourjois chocolate bronzer, it just doesn't compliment my skintone and is too 'muddy'.

So theres some of my opinions of some of the makeup in my favourite drugstores (superdrug and boots), what products do you love or hate from there ? And which products do you recommend to me ?
