Hello my loves.
Merry Christmas, I hope everyone was well & got what they wanted, Sorry about Blogmas this year.. it has kind of failed however it will prepare me for when I attempt next year, unfortunately life doesn't stop when you need it to.
Today I have a makeup tutorial on the makeup I wore Christmas Day, some of these products are new which is why my face looks so 'done up'.. enjoy :)
Face: - With a cleanly washed face I started with MAC studiosculpt foundation in NC15; This foundation is high coverage with a dewy finish, making it perfect for the winter. Next I took SoSusans concealer quad (Which I recieved in my GlossyBox.) and used this under my eyes and round my nose. Although this looks good in the picures I am not swayed by this product, it's hard to get good coverage with this concealer and doesn't blend easily. I'm still on the hunt for 'the perfect concealer' so if you have any reccomendations then please leave a comment below letting me know which ones I should test. Next is my powder, which as you all know never changes.. its the MUA matte loose powder. (which I am probably sure will stay in my heart forever.) Finally to contour I took my Hoola bronzer by Benefit and used this in the hollows of my cheeks, but very blended out to give myself a bit of dimension to my face. For colour I popped on Benefits dandelion blush.
Eyes: I started off with my eyebrows which thankfully I had gotten waxed the day before, As usual I used my MUA matte ever after palette and took the colour 'Truffle' using an angled eye brush I ran this colour through my eyebrows to give them some definition. I then used my 'watts up' Benefit highlighter and patted some just under the arch of my eyebrow, to give a little lift and shimmer. Next I took my new Stila eyeshadow palette in 'Written in the stars' and took a light sparkly pink and patted this onto my eyelid, blending at the top into the crease. I then took a light brown and ran this through my crease blending with a fluffy brush as I go. Finally I took a 'red-toned' brown and blended this onto my 'outer v' and slightly into my crease, to give it a bit more dimension and pop of colour. I then took Maybellines great lash mascara which is brilliant for seperation and popped a coat on the top lashes and two coats on the bottom, because I was going to apply false lashes I didn't want too much on the top compared to how much I usually have. For the false lashes I used Eylure 107 volume lashes which came in my glossybox. I wouldn't use these for everyday use. However for any event I would definitely reccomend them. Don't be scared when you first apply them because they are VERY voluminous but they are very pretty and open up your eyes. Finally I took Stilas 'Angelfish eyeliner' and ran that along my waterline which was a lovely creamy shade, and then took Stilas 'Oscarfish liner' which was a sparkly dark brown and ran that through my tightline, this gave the effect of wider eyes.
Lips: Starting off with my 'ModelCo lip enhancer lipliner (nude)' I outlined my lips and filled them in, next I took Ted Bakers lipstick in nude and patted this on gently, blotting with a tissue as I went as to not have to much on there. Finally I took Tanya Burrs lipgloss in 'Chic' and patted that on over the top. I love nude lips, and this is the perfect combination.
My Christmas was wonderful and so special so thankyou to everyone who made it that way.. I can't wait for the new year either! Merry Christmas everyone <3
Go out and change the world.
Love Char xo
