Floating Island Review.

Hello lovlies!

Back to basics today with a Lush review. I had been wanting to try a bath melt for ages, and always planned on picking up 'you've been mangoed' as mango's is a scent that I absolutely adore, however when I went into my local Lush store and smelt it.. I wasn't overly keen. Sometimes I fall in love with scents and they are my firm favourites (Honey I washed the kids soap), but other times I have a love hate relationship with them. After walking around I wasn't really sure what to purchase, but I knew that I definetly wanted something I had not tried before. Which is how I ended up with the Floating island bath melt. This is what Lush says about the product:

"If you feel the need to get away from it all, drop this bath melt hybrid into your bathwater and float away. As it gently froths, cocoa butter and almond oil make a moisturising film on the water that sticks to the skin and leaves it feeling velvety. Floating Island’s fragrance transports you to a happy place as its exotic fragrances are released. Uplifting sandalwood is great for helping skin retain its moisture."

The first thing I noticed about this product is that, it doesn't actually float. Not being sure if I had used it wrong I looked up the reviews online to find that other people were saying that aswell. This evidently isn't a big deal as it is going to melt away anyway however the title is still a bit mis-leading.

One thing I loved about this product is the smell. It's difficult to associate the smell with something when you are in the shop itself, as it was very faint and all the other scents around me where rather over-powering. However once I was in the bath I could definetly smell the sandalwood, this is something I'm usually not fussed about. But that night it was absolutely perfect and relaxing.

As for moisture it isn't as moisturising as Butterball bath bomb, however my skin did feel rather nice afterwards but unlike Butterball I did slather on some body butter afterwards.

I hope to be reviewing a lot more products soon, especially some makeup items since Prom is right round the corner. If there are any products you would especially like a review off of then please leave a comment in the bar below.

Go out and change the world.
Love Char xo
